John has over ten years of professional experience, including eight years working at Georgetown Masters for Denny Purcell and Andrew Mendelson. At Georgetown, John worked as a mastering engineer, editing and assisting on projects by Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Ricky Skaggs, Adrian Belew, Motley Crue, and hundreds of others.

John also spent five years at Lake Fever Productions, producing and recording albums by artists like The Silver Jews, Tomahawk, and How I Became The Bomb.
